How does a health care professional (HCP) know your child has ADHD?

ADHD is not like a fever that makes you hot, or a cut that you can see. It is a medical condition that only your HCP can diagnose. To do so, an HCP must examine your child and talk to you, your child, and maybe even some teachers at school.
