Driving can be a big challenge when you have ADHD. You may be more impulsive and less attentive. So there's a greater risk of trouble behind the wheel.
Compared with teens without ADHD, teens with ADHD were:
Involved in accidents about 4 times more often
More likely to get traffic tickets (78% versus 47%),
mostly for speeding and running stop signs
Nearly 7 times more likely to be involved in 2 or more crashes (40% versus 6%)
More than 4 times more likely to be at fault for accidents (48% versus 11%)
